Through Their Eyes: Photographs Created by the Youth from California

Congratulations to our California photographers from the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula! From the Menlo Park club—Kelly, Javi, Ricky, Rebeca, LaMarrisha, Martin, Leslie, and Manny; from the East Palo Alto club—Jalia, Christian, Josh, and Nancy.

Highlights from the four-day immersion trip featuring Mariposa Grove, Yosemite Valley, the Mist Trail and Vernal Falls, and Half Dome are below. Can’t get enough of Parks in Focus? Check out photos of the kids (part one and part two) from the Yosemite Trip.

  1. These photographs are wonderful. I keep coming back to them over and over again, remembering the context of when, where, and by whom they were taken. I am so grateful to have been a part of such a wonderful trip, and I love having these photographs to help preserve my memories. Such a gem.

  2. Wonderful photos — the tree seeds look like coffee beans! Love the waterfall photo – feels like it will pull you right overrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
