Michigan ‘Alums’ Reconnect on Lake Michigan!

Last week, a handful of our Parks in Focus: West Michigan ‘alumni’ reconnected to spend the day visiting and photographing sites within Ludington State Park. Those in attendance represented our 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 Michigan programs.

The crew explored the Sable River where they photographed turtles and learned about salmon stocking, hiked the Skyline Trail overlooking some of the area’s unique sand dunes, and spent some time identifying butterflies and playing on the beaches of Lake Michigan.

Check out some of the participant’s photo highlights below:

Huge thanks to Lisa Schillaci (Big Brothers Big Sisters of Newaygo County) and Dawn Reinhold (our ultimate Michigan volunteer) for spending the day with us!
